Jean-Patrick Labouyrie11 CoinFalcon is one of the coolest UI to enter the crypto-world (like Coinbase, and unlike Kraken). Now, support and availability are crucial. Fun fact: was supposed to be a "no fee" platform. But you know... 😉
🤔16 @jpatlab Nobody care about UI, the point is fee.
Nikita Akimov21 @jpatlab @_selcukahmet disagree. The value of a currency increases significantly only if it's penetration grows. UI impacts penetration directly because it makes the process of buy and sell seamless. So I think @jpatlab did a good job. However, I'm still curious what are the fees on the platform?
Jean-Patrick Labouyrie20 @_selcukahmet disagree. For mass-market, UI is very important. See Coinbase: #1 platform but higher fees than others. Explanation?
Jordan Steeves7 @jpatlab @_selcukahmet @akimovnv You can view our fees here: coinfalcon.com/fees. For what it's worth, we didn't receive a single complaint, that I know of, when we told our users we were adding fees.
Jean-Patrick Labouyrie2 @akimovnv I’m just the hunter here, not the maker. 😉
Jordan Steeves0 @jpatlab I appreciate the positive feedback, glad you like it. Yes, we used to not charge fees but we needed to start hiring :D.
Jean-Patrick Labouyrie0 @jordansteeves seems fair. 😉
Chris Cubellis4 @jordansteeves It seems a little misleading to say "All our fees are transparent", and then have a fees page that only says that the fee is "Suggested network fee". Might want to show actual estimates on that page? At least some indication of what they might actually be, before having to sign up for account.
Peter Genčur0 @jordansteeves @chrscblls exactly, was going to mention it..
Nikita Akimov0 @jpatlab oops sorry, meant @jordansteeves -_-
abasa2 Very nice. Very nice indeed. Great job Jordan.
Jordan Steeves1 @abasa Thanks!
Jordan Steeves9 Hey, thanks for hunting us @jpatlab! We've been working hard over the last few months on CoinFalcon and have been experiencing incredible growth recently. Currently we support, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, IOTA and will be adding more currencies soon. You can buy/sell coins using a simple and quick interface or get more advanced with limit orders using our trading view or API. If you are interested in working remotely on a fast growing cryptocurrency exchange, we are hiring Rails engineers! Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
Roberts Bite3 @jpatlab @coinfalcon @jordansteeves Any plans on adding XRP any time soon?
Jordan Steeves3 @roberts_bite Yup, it's on our roadmap!
Paul Banks2 @coinfalcon How do you switch to USD?
Veasna Onn1 @paul_banks anybody answer your question yet?
Paul Banks1 @veasnaonn not yet
Jordan Steeves1 @coinfalcon @paul_banks We are working on this feature! Hope to have it out next week.
Shashika Nanayakkara0 @jpatlab @coinfalcon @jordansteeves is this available for Sri Lanka?
Louis de Vaumas0 @jordansteeves Hi Jordan, I've seen that you disabled euro deposit on your platform, when will you re-enabled it?
Jordan Steeves0 @shashikamanoj Yes :)
Omar D. Samuels0 @jordansteeves Sounds great. Is selling geo-restricted in any way?
Niv Dror0 @jpatlab @coinfalcon @jordansteeves I emailed you about careers, will promote on AngelList, email me niv (at) angel . co
Omar D. Samuels0 @jordansteeves Also, what does this mean exactly: "Your documents will be reviewed when euro deposits are ready"?
Dante Lex0 @coinfalcon @jordansteeves How do you send and receive from another wallet? Also does it accept payment from any card?
Edward Vasquez0 sorry but please check the your site, it doesnt work with https://coinfalcon.com/ + ?ref=producthunt i cant load the site on chrome Version 62.0.3202.94 @jordansteeves
Jordan Steeves0 @crowx Seems to be working for me. Could you check again?
Edward Vasquez0 @jordansteeves no it doesnt work, write me on twitter, i send you the error msg.
Jordan Steeves1 @crowx Sure thing
Edward Vasquez1 i can buy iota only with bitcoin? hmm
Jordan Steeves1 @crowx Yes, currently, that is our only IOTA market. You can always deposit ETH or LTC and exchange it for BTC.
Carl Shaver1 I can only use Euro to buy? What are the limits and what payment types are allowed?
Jordan Steeves0 @carl_shaver We don't support Euro at this time, but we are actively working on it. There aren't any limits, and we support IOTA, Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum right now.
Yusuf Ali0 How much are your fees?
Jordan Steeves1 @youssif_maxzoom You can view our fees here: https://coinfalcon.com/fees
Ciocanel Razvan0 Sweet. I made an account. Coinbase does not work for me in Romania.
Jordan Steeves0 @chocksy Great! Hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you have any questions.
Ben Levy0 I find it fascinating that you guys offer IOTA right now, while Coinbase doesn't....do you see that as a differentiator at all?
Jordan Steeves0 @benmlevy Yes, the IOTA community is one of our biggest fans actually :D
Callen Hedglen2 UX designer here, and this product looks fantastic! However, wasn't sure if I'd be able to use as a US-based user
Titus Capilnean2 @chedglen you can't. The signup process requires you to certify you're not a US person (resident or citizen)
John Farmer3 @chedglen You cannot, though they don't really disclose this until the sign up page. They hint at it on the landing/home page "European Exchange".
Louis Lapat1 API? oAuth2?
Jordan Steeves0 @louis_lapat We have an API at docs.coinfalcon.com.
Alexandra Larson0 First. good luck But there are way too many cons : - No advanced order type - No margin trading - No details about security you're using - Cloudflare against DDOS ? - Limited API - Horrible UI - Limited chart Buy hey, good luck again.
Jordan Steeves0 @kingofpotatoes Hi. - We are working on more order types. Which are the most important to you? - Yes, this won't be ready for a while. - We'll make a page for this, good call. - Is this a question or remark? We use Cloudflare, yes. - We'll have an update for the API in the coming days. - What don't you like about the UI? Are you talking about the site in general? - What would you want added to the charts? Thanks for the feedback!
Bernard O'Sullivan0 Hey do you support "sell" orders in Australia? One of the frustrations with Coinbase is that they allowed me to sign up and buy without letting me know that Australia is still not supported for the sell side. I know they are slammed but we have tried contacting Coinbase and all we get is repeated templated replies that do not answer questions.
Jordan Steeves0 @tagionet Australia is fully supported, although we only support funding via cryptocurrency.
Craig Williams0 The "How to deposit funds" FAQ isn't very helpful. What is the process? I'd rather know up front whether I can make a deposit rather than have to sign up to find out.
Jordan Steeves0 @ichillidesign Sorry about that, we will work on making it more clear. The process is you can deposit either Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin or IOTA. Just copy your deposit address, make a deposit and you are good to go.
Giridhar0 Can i use this from India? Also, why is there no Two factor Authentication?
Cole Townsend3 The user photos on here are stock images. The design looks sharp but that seems a bit disingenuous no?
Haris Hanif0 Website and UI look nice. Glad to see Iota support. Will this ever be available for people in the U.S.?
Richard Thorpe0 @JordanSteeves Hey love the concept but the main reason Coinbase became popular was because it was the easiest way for new and current crypto users to purchase crypto with Fiat!! This is more along the lines of Bittrex and Poloniex! Love this concept and the UI makes it so much easier but this doesn’t help the mainstream unless you they can buy with Fiat!
Justin White2 Sr. Product Designer (UI/UX) here… Yeah, nice UI, but that doesn't make a product. Can't use it because it doesn't support USD. Coinbase UI & UX is simple enough to use, so, not really sure how comparing the two is a "value prop" in this scenario. Too much demand? Coinbase has an exchange, GDAX, which allows people move/make a market using their Coinbase account, so unless CoinBird also has an exchange, I don't see the value in switching. Again, it's not USD compatible, so I'm going off what I can see and not what I can do. *Edit* They do have an exchange with "thousands" of happy users.
Sharif Khalladi0 Looks great. Unfortunately Coinbase is not accepting any of the deposit addresses that are available in my CoinFalcon account... was on Live Chat but the agent disappeared and so did the chat prompt. Hoping we can figure this out to give it a real spin.
Sharif Khalladi0 The CoinFalcon team clarified: "This is because we are using segwit Litecoin addresses and it looks like coinbase doesn't work with those. We'll fix this soon but it's a bit sad as it's a step backward."
